New location for this year (Trinity) and feeder has only been up for a couple of weeks. I haven't even had time to put up the blind yet or clear the overgrowth for shooting lanes. Looks like I need to get busy, but dam work keeps getting in the way. These guys should be hitting the ground by next month.

One I walked up on. The rest of them were much more observant and took off but I got about 10 feet from her. No rifle in hand...
 
That is why I got my 6.8 pistol, am carrying it all the time at the lease!
 
Yeah something like that would have been very useful right then.
 
I always carry my Glock 19 9mm, but have not done it as much after getting the 6.8 pistol. I just wish I could find a less cumbersome way of carrying it like a thigh rig for when I am working...that way I could carry my 22LR pistol with snake shot in it.

How do you carry your 6.8 pistol now a single point? How heavy is it?
 
yes single point or nothing, too heavy but not as heavy and cumbersome as a rifle, 5lbs scoped no mag

I unnerstan'. I'd've felt the same way.

I have mine (6.8 Pistol)set up for use with a Viking VTAC 2pt. sling, or a SKT 2pt. sling. Of the two... I prefer the SKT one.

Your always welcome back to Texas. Just need to finish setting up then you guys will see some lead flying. This year I plan to get my wife and daughter to bag their first pig.
 
RD, can you show a close up of how you have the 2 pt rigged? If that way can you flip to your back and back into shooting position rapidly?
